The Project
Captain's Lookout Expansion is a planned 116-unit luxury apartment building on the Hudson River at Delaware Avenue on Van Schaick Island in Cohoes, New York, on the riverfront parcel immediately adjacent to the existing 72-unit Captain's Lookout community that Prime manages. The site shares Captain's Lookout's setting between Van Schaick Country Club and the river, with Peebles Island State Park, the Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail and I-787 minutes away and downtown Troy and Albany within a fifteen-minute drive.
The expansion is planned as a second riverfront building beside the original, bringing the combined Captain's Lookout community to 188 apartments and extending Prime's Van Schaick Island holdings alongside Hudson Square, Riverwalk on the Hudson, Water's View and The Delaware.
Prime Companies is the developer, carrying the project through entitlement, design and financing.
