Residential Subdivision
The Project
Travers Meadows is a 134-lot single-family community in the Town of Malta, New York, off East High Street between Route 9 and the Adirondack Northway, roughly two miles from the GlobalFoundries campus and ten minutes from downtown Saratoga Springs. The plan organizes homes along a network of loop roads and cul-de-sacs, with Coronado Way, Secretariat Way, Basswood Court and Damascus Way among its streets, named in the Saratoga racing tradition.
The subdivision was designed around open space. Roughly 22 acres are set aside as neighborhood parks and preserve, including the 10.8-acre Center Square Park at the heart of the community, the 2.6-acre Alydar Park, and the 8.6-acre Thunder Gulch Preserve, connected by a trail network and sidewalks, with a 300-foot wooded buffer along the Northway.
Prime Companies developed the subdivision, carrying the land through approvals, roads, utilities and lot sales, with homes built out in phases by area builders.
